Port Fourchon has a public recreational boat launch to complement the sport fishing available around the port. World-class fishing areas along the Gulf of Mexico are accessible for one-day fishing trips. The Port Commission provides a free public boat launch equipped with a pavilion and restroom facilities. Port Fourchon also provides road access to the Gulf of Mexico at Fourchon Beach, which has a sand beach over three miles long. Swimming, surf fishing, and crabbing are common activities in the beach area.
